Portillo’s is a casual restaurant located throughout the Chicago area known for their hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. They also feature a variety of other sandwiches, as well as burgers and salads to satisfy everyone.
The restaurant originally started out in a trailer in the 1930’s and has evolved into an eatery so popular that it currently includes 45 locations, according to the Portillo’s website. In fact, they regularly receive calls from customers in other states, sometimes even other countries, asking if Portillo’s will be adding a location near them! Their website also adds that most recently, Scottsdale, Az. and Tempe, Az. have been the lucky ones chosen to have a Portillo’s built outside of Chicago.

I ate here and I loved it. The Italian beef was great but they also have a lot of other dishes. The name of Portillos does not really sound too Italian to me.
